Mitigation of Human and wildlife conflicts

When I was a kid, I used to go bird-watching in Navi Mumbai. As the years passed, the bird-watching area was destroyed and used for development. Hence, birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts, and animals had no other option except to move toward human settlements. I always wondered how the wildlife would coexist with the people if we kept on destroying their habitats. In this photo series, I have shown how wildlife and humans function on the same premises and also some of the side effects that we, animals, reptiles, and birds face due to that. Whenever there’s a conflict between humans and wildlife, people have accepted the fact that this place belongs to them as well as to the animals.
As a result, they treat animals and birds as part of their society.
So, anytime there are conflicts between wildlife and human settlements, certain situations arise in which animals panic and hurt themselves. In such cases, people contact rescuers who can handle the situation professionally and provide the necessary care.
So, while working on this project, I spent some time with such rescuers, watching how they got around with their work and how they are always ready to go anywhere they can to rescue animals in need. Due to this, my fear of snakes has reduced, and I have learned how to act in various emergencies.
